Baby Word Book
Hi All!! For our Design Team project over at Cricut Mini Albums this week, we were given a Designer's choice. Since I have so many friends pregnant, I got inspired to do a baby word book. I used paper from the Nana's Nursery stack and Design studio. All of the letters are cut using the Storybook cartridge which seems to be made for doing word books. The letters all line up perfectly and makes it so easy to design a simple word book. The blocks "A" page are cut from New Arrival on pearlescent cardstock that I got from WalMart. On the "B" page, I used a ring designed by me using the butterfly from Tear Drop, the long heart on George, and the flower from Doodlecharms. I backed it with a scalloped circle from MiniMonograms. The second "B" page has a cute onesie on the left cut from New Arrival. I used my chalks to outline it to try and make it pop a little more off the page. The cute safety pins are also a cut from New Arrival. On the right side, There is a little out fit from New Arrival. I love to accent with ribbon as often as possible and this time, I used some little pearls through out the entire project. Make sure that you go and check out the other lovely creations that the girls made over at Cricut Mini Albums . Make sure that when you are there, sign up to be a follower!! When we reach 200 followers, we are going to have a give-away!! WoOOoo HooOOooOO!! Thanks for looking!!

Dad Mini Album
Recently, I was chosen to be a Design Team member for . I am very excited about this and contributed my first project last night. Although, I am not very happy with how it turned out as I had some major twists and turns in my life the last few weeks, I am happy to post it for all to see. The cartridges used are Beyond Birthdays, Mini Monograms, and George. I stuck to the same basic design throughout the entire book with a mat for a photo and a basic tag for journalling. All of the stamps are the Studio G dollar stamps found at Michael's or Joann's. Thank you for looking!!

Friendly challenge
My friend, Rheannon, and I were looking through PaperCrafts March/April 2009 issue and fell in love with a project originally done by a sweet lady named Karyl Lombardo. We first saw the project on page 12 with the editor's note then found it again on page 81. Both of us were trying to get our creative juices flowing and were tired of doing swaps and being disappointed with the end product that some people were putting out, so we challenged each other to make this project. I was lucky enough to find Karyl on facebook and had a nice little chat with her and am now a huge fan of her work!! Here is my take on her little project! To see Rheannon's please check out her blog which is listed on my blog list--Sweet Pea's a paper lover. Enjoy!!

David's valentines
I had so much fun making David's valentines this year. I made them like a matchbook, and when opened they had two little bags of m&m's in there. The card is made from glossy black cardstock that Susie brought me from her office. Mickey and Minnie were cut from the Mickey & Friends cartridge on my cricut. the heart is from Accent Essentials. The font on the front of the card is Mickey Font. Hope you like!!
This is the front of the matchbook

Jack and Ginger
Here is a card I made for our anniversary and for a swap that I am in that my good friend, Angie, is hosting. I think it turned out pretty cute. The paper is from a DCWV stack. I used diamond glaze and a purple jelly roll pen to highlight the flowers on the paper. The image is a digi stamp by Mo Manning called Jack and Ginger. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it. The green paper underneath the image is from one of my Story Teller's packets. It is embossed with Birds n Swirls by Cuttlebug. The sentiment is "Hold tenderly, That which you cherish" by Bob Alberti, printed on white cardstock. The font is Porcelain found on dafont.com. The quote is matted on purple cardstock and outlined with Gold Smooch paint. I also used the Smooch to outline the flower cut out made by Nestablilites. I used Prisma pencils to color the image and Mona Lisa mineral spirits to blend them. hope you like it!!

Free Cows!!!
Here are some cows I made for a lady on the cricut message board. She is having them sent to her brother-in-law as a practical joke for his addiction to Farmville on Facebook. He has been asking her for cows for a while now, and boy is he going to get them....

Calendar using A child's year
I know it has been a while since I posted any of my work, but here goes. I hope I remember how to do this!! lol!! If I did it right, you should be able to click the thumbnails to view a larger photo of each image. Thanks for looking!! I made this calendar for my mom. It is a chipboard kit that I got at Craft Warehouse. I made it double-sided so that she could use it for two years. It is one of my favorite pieces that I have ever made.
