My Christmas paint can

A few months ago, I signed up for a Christmas paint can swap on the Cricut message board. I finally finished it this afternoon and just have a few more things to put into it and I will be all ready to mail it. I used the walmart paper for the base, gussied up with some stickles, and then put some felt snowflakes over that. Then I took apart a Santa outfit garland and pinned it onto the felt with tiny little safety pins. I tried using jumbo glue dots, but they just weren't holding that heavy little outfit up. Then I added some bling and voila!!! All done. I think it is cute!!

Christmas is right around the corner and I have been making some creations for a friend on the Cricut MB. This is a lay out that I did for her.

I just love those little Hedgies from Penny Black!!! They are so darn cute. I wish I could collect them all!!!

I miss being on the BBTB team, but I am not stressing anymore. There were so many projects that I made that I didn't turn in because I just didn't feel they were good enough. I guess I need to get over that. Lately, I have been having a lot of fun with my creating. It just seems to be flowing out. It just takes forever because of my best creation (David) being such a demanding little two year old. Here is a lay out I did for an ABC album I am doing with some friends on the Cricut MB.

I also did NOEL and can't wait to get them done and out the door. I have so much to do and so little time. Guess I better go get another cup of coffee and hit the craftin table!!! Peace all!!!

Happy Birthday STEVE

Here is a card I made for my friend Steve. He won't get it on time, but it was fun to make. He plays in a band and at the time that I made this he was playing for Gorilla Jones, that is why there are monkeys and gorillas. It was made over a year ago and shows how green I was back then!!! haha. It was fun though. Hope you like it. Peace!!!

Monster Eyes

Halloween is my favorite holiday!!! I love to go to parties, I love the autumn sights and smells!! Caramel apples, popcorn balls, candy, costumes, falling leaves, all the colors!!! It is all my favorite stuff!! I had a lot of requests on the Cricut message board to post this with the recipe so here it is.
Here is the recipe for Monster Eyes
Ingredients: Wax Paper,
1 cup creamy peanut butter
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 cups powdered sugar
3 Tablespoons vegetable shortening
1 (21 oz) ButterFinger candy bar, finely chopped or crushed
2 cups white chocolate chips
1/4 cup M&M's or Reece Piecies
1 small tube red decorator icing
and a wooden pick or skewer for dipping.
Line 2 baking sheets with wax paper. Beat peanut butter & butter/margarine in a large mixer bowl until creamy. Beat in powdered sugar until mixture holds together and is moistened. Stir in Chopped butterfinger. Shape into 1" eyeballs. Place on prepared baking sheets. Freeze for 1 hour. Melt morsels and shortening in a large uncovered microwave safe bowl on medium high power for 1 1/2 minutes. Stir. If necessary, continue microwaving at 10-15 second intervals until melted and smooth. Remove one sheet of eyeballs and dip one eyeball at a time using a wood pick or skewer. Shake off extra chocolate and return to baking sheet. Gently press 1 M&M or Reece Pieces candy to make the pupil of the eye. Repeat procedure with all remaining eyeballs on sheet. Refrigerate until coating is set. Then do other tray. Before serving, pipe decorator icing around eyeballs to create bloodshot markings. Store in covered container in freezer. Best served cold.
These are so yummy. You can make them for christmas too with dark chocolate chips. and no eyeball markings!! haha. Thanks for looking and please leave comments if you can!!! Lottsa Love, MoJo

Been a while

Well, it has been a while. Where have I been, crafting of course. Because of health issues, and because I am addicted to swaps (thanks Rheannon) I will no longer be a part of the BBTB team as of the end of October. Although I really really love being a part of the team, I am hoping that Regina will let me back on someday when my life gets a little more manageable. David had his first real boo-boo. We took him to urgent care to see if he was going to need stitches in his chin. Luckily, he didn't. He is a real little trooper. The weather has been great. I have been chatting with an old friend in Ohio and trying to help him out a bit. He is such a great guy!!! I am so glad and honered to be his friend. and it is nice to have someone to talk to all the time. heehee. Don't worry, I am still madly in love with my husband and nothing about that is going to change. He knows about my friend and doesn't seem to mind that we are talking. I am thankful that he trusts me!!! I will be posting some artwork soon. Take care all!!! Peace, Love, & Happiness!!! MoJo

Gettin Hitched

For this week, Regina asked us to make something with the cowgirl hat on the paper dolls cartridge. Well, I had a lot of ideas, but just couldn't quite figure out how to pull it off and was getting frustrated. So, I started looking on google using "cowboy hat" as a search engine. I saw a lot of cute picts of people with cowboy hats and different settings and clip art. Finally, found a picture of what looked like a hay bale with a hitching post and a lasso and two horse shoes. I loved it and figured I could make that. Voila!!! Here it is.

Stars and Stripes

For our BBTB project this week, we were asked to use the star from George. It was a lot of fun to make using my cricut and design studio along with George, Zooballoo, & Beyond Birthdays. I cut the base out of white card stock. Then covered it with the Star paper then covered the bottom with the striped paper, both from the DCWV Summer Stack. I lined the back of the card front with silver mesh ribbon and then glued a piece of white cardstock over that. I braided a piece of white ribbon and attached the tiny clothespins with Glue dots. I think it turned out pretty good.

I am coco-nutty over you!!

Here is my BBTB challenge for this week. We were asked to use Accent #43 from Accent Essentials. I thought it would make a great coconut, So I Cut 4 palm trees from Doodlecharms, brown base with olive green leaves that I used a gold glitter pen on to line the trunks and a green glitter pen to make the fronds of the leaves. I glued them onto a base. I used Zooballoo for the grass, the monkey and the banner, and Voila--a monkey gift topper that anyone could love!!! The banner says "I am Coco-nutty over you!! Thank you for looking and check out all the other lovely designs the ladies did at the Bitten by the Bug spot.

The rest of the abc book

I have edited this post because all of the pictures are now in the original post. All of the letters and animals from the abc book are from zooballoo. It was the second cart that I ever bought, and it is still one of my favorites. Thank you all for checking it out. I still want to make another one of these, someday....

My first Cricut project

The first project that I ever did with my Cricut was an ABC book for my Mom-in-law using the Zooballoo cartridge. I had a lot of fun putting it together with different photos and clip art and stickers for each letter. Hope you like it. To see close ups, just click on the thumbnails!!
